“A “Tree Surgeon” company wanted $750 to remove a large camphor tree that was leaning over my house and invading the septic tank. I bought the Remington RM1015P, and with my existing gas chain saw and manual pole trimmers was able to remove the tree a small piece at a time without damaging the house. The electric motor seemed surprisingly powerful and did not stall or get hot even though some of the limbs were larger than the 10″ bar and I had to cut from both sides. This is a consumer grade tool and I would not recommend it for heavy duty use. But for occasional trimming or removing difficult limbs, it will pay for itself several times in just one use by avoiding calling the “professionals”.” – T. Monroe

“I bought the Remington RM1015P the same day I bought a proper gas-powered chainsaw (16″ Homelite). The operation of the saw, with or without the pole, was very straightforward. I wish I could say the same for the Homelite. After the REAL chainsaw blade came off twice and got too dull to even use, I pulled out the Remington and fell 4 10″ diameter oak trees without a problem. Clearly this saw is not to be your primary and dragging around the cord is tedious but it will dispatch limbs without a second thought and if you need it to go a little further, it’ll gladly do it.
